How much do you charge?
We charge a flat 5% commission on monies recovered at the debt recovery stage. We do not charge you commission on monies recovered under the Late Payment Regulations 2002. Should the matter escalate to court action then we can provide a fixed fee for uncontested actions.
What happens if you can’t collect my debt?
If you pass a debt over to us for collection and for some reason the debtor still does not pay then you have two options: we can issue legal proceedings against the debtor or we can close our file. Should you instruct us to close our file then there are no fees to pay – so you can rest-assured we will do all we can to collect your debt.
What happen if I have a legal account and it is defended?
We will advise you of the likely cost implications of taking it further. If you do so, you can be assured that your case will be handled by experts in a cost effective manner.
Are your legal disbursements really cheaper?
Yes, because our actions are processed through the Bulk Issue Centre which result in a cost saving with disbursements.
What is your success rate?
We don’t publish our success rate as it can be misleading. Some of our clients enjoy a very high success rate while others may have a lower success rate. Collecting the debt depends on a number of variables including the type and quality of debt, industry, and the debtor’s financial situation amongst others.
One thing to bear in mind is that we only get paid at the debt recovery stage by collecting monies in, so you can be sure we will do all we can to collect your debt.
Will you upset my customer?
No! Well, we certainly try not to anyway. We always speak to debtors in a professional and courteous manner and we will even try and sort out the debt if there is a dispute.
When can I use a statutory demand?
A statutory demand is a useful weapon in the armoury of debt recovery and will always be considered by us when the circumstances permit. Further information can be seen here. More info
How long is my debt valid for?
Normally a debt is valid for six years but of course a debt can become more difficult to collect the older it gets. Debts over six years old are usually statute barred unless certain conditions prevail.
Can I charge late payment fees on a consumer debt?
You may be able to charge administration fees on the account if it says you can do so in your terms and conditions.
Do you really give us back our late payment fees?
Yes! We believe that any money collected under late payment legislation belongs to our clients. Therefore, it is possible to make a profit from instructing us.
Is there a limit on the volume and value of debt recovery instructions that you can handle?
No. We operate a powerful database and our continuing investment in Information Technology means that there is no limit to the number of actions we can handle. You can fax, email, post or use this website to submit your debts
Can you help me find a debtor who has absconded?
Yes. We operate an extensive and thorough tracing service in order to find individuals who have moved. Even better, like our Debt Recovery service, our tracing service is only chargeable if we locate your debtor: No trace, no fee!
