Case explained: Collection House were instructed to recover a debt for vet fees which was 6 months old.  In the case of an individual, we had to comply with the Pre-Action Protocol process which gives debtors 30 days from date of letter to respond.  We received a phone call 10 days after our letter was sent and the debtor requested we call them back on a specific date so they could pay in full.  We called back on agreed date and a card payment was taken for the full amount owed.

Case explained: Collection House were instructed to recover a debt for fuel from our client. Debtor claimed that they had never received any invoices or reminders. Due to the age of the debt, late fees and interest had been added. Debtor said she would settle debt of late fees could be taken off. Paid immediately.

Case explained: Collection House were instructed to recover a debt from a veterinary service from an individual. Client had chased debt but came across numerous reasons why payment could not be made. PAP (pre-action protocol) was raised. Debtor rang to say he would take client to court and that he was not going to pay. All evidence was provided and discussed with debtor. Payment plan was then arranged and full payment made.

Case explained: Collection House were instructed to recover a debt from an agricultural spares company. Numerous contact details were provided, but none had been fruitful. Our investigations resulted in a response within 14 days. Despite major difficulties from the debtor, and payment plan was agreed and due to the age of the debt, late fees were added. Debtor cleared original debt of £ 15,830.68 and the added £ 3,090.32 in late fees.
